I am in West Virginia as well. You know the place west of Richmond.. (snicker)

I am in the eastern panhandle near Harpers Ferry .

Thanks for the welcome. Harpers Ferry is one of my favorate places in the state. I like the Civil War, I will try to post some of my Civil War figures done with lead. I build them from the bottom up one drop at a time using hydrogen and oxygen and a small flame.

Welcome Paul! Your site and your carvings are beautiful! I don't know which is my favorite, you do a great job carving, painting and displaying them all! I'd have to say at this point....they're all my favorites!!

I too look forward to seeing your Civil War figures, isn't it dangerous, working with lead?? Hubby makes bullets for his mussle loader out of lead, that's just pretty much melt and pour, I can't imagine making figures out of it! I would have thought you'd just melt the lead and pour it into a mold....your 'drop by drop' statement has me very curious!
