| | New Member saying Hello Hello my fello carvers, My name is Nathan Bailey I live in Ogden Utah well for now. I'm Building a new home in Mantua Utah right now. I am a special Weapons Mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. I have just started really liking to carve. I picked up a issue of Wood Carving with the 5 min wizzard and cant stop carving. I carve a wizzard every day. My wife thinks I'm crazy, I just told her think of the cool christmas tree you will have this year. If you have any tips let me know I am just learning. |

| | Re: New Member saying Hello Greetings and salutations Nathan! You still on active duty? ![004[1]1](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/004[1]1.gif) to hear that you've discovered and enjoy carving so much. Go on line or visit your local woodcarving shop and get yourself a copy of Skylar Johnson's How to Carve a Woodspirit in a Hiking Stick. From there you can branch out to woodspirits on canes, on key chains, red cedar closet buddies...etc....etc... There will be no stopping you!

| | Re: New Member saying Hello Welcome aboard Bailey. Carving is addictive, but that's a good thing. It also is great relaxation and you get to meet the nicest folks.
Enjoy,

| | Re: New Member saying Hello Welcome aboard Nathan, carving is not an addiction, unless you carve more than fifteen hrs. a day, makes me safe cause I only carve about 8 hrs. a day. My wife says it's better than saying,"I'm bored", besides I ain't got time to nag her. You will find an answer to any carving problem or questions on the forum, think about it from all over the world.
