Default New Member with question

Hello, my name is Tom, I live in Ohio, and have scratched out a couple carvings I like, but am very much a beginner. I posted a photo of my best effort to date in the "member gallery" called "the happy shoemaker". It is my take on a 1960's souvenir carving from Italy I found at an antique shop.

I also found a nice carving of 2 men playing a game by a carver named "Fortin". I would like to know more about this carver if anyone knows. I placed pics of this carving in the galleries section also. Any info on this carver would be appreciated. TOM

Hi Tom, looked at your 'the happy shoemaker' and you did a super job. You need to keep carving because you have lots of talent. As for your 'Fortin' I've not heard of the carver, but there may be others who have. Have you tried a google search using that name? Say like Fortin woodcarver even add Italy.
