Default New member from Norway

Hi all.
I am new at this type of computer work so please be patient with me.
I am from Norway and have been "lurking around in the shadows" here for an year or so, just watching you all. Haha

My kind of carving is of birds, nowadays i wrestle with an goshawk with a woodpecker (should have been a flicker but we do not have them here) in it claw (Gordons pattern).
Funny thing, an dead woodpecker never lands unharmed on it feet.
He makes sure he goes down tail first.

I started out carving decoys for duck hunting and they did work great.
Did get a lot of duck, never fired a shot, the ducks simply laughed themself to death so just had to pick them up.

I will try to post some pictures (if it is as simple as using "attach Files" even i can do it) later.

Magne

How does a "dead" woodpecker make sure he lands on his feet? LOL he never lands "unharmed!" on his feet? does that mean he busts his tail? ha ha You got me on this one roflmbo!

I have never had any of my carved birds landing unharmed on its feet.
They simply do not how to behave.
I think i have repaired just about everything possible that is fragile on a carving.
Probably should get myself some of the sticky stuff handball players use.
