Default New member from Denmark

So I thought that before posting a lot of questions I should maybe introduce myself.

I live in Denmark and have been carving wood for no longer than about a year or so now. I usually carve spoons, since I don't have enough space to undertake larger projects.
I find spooncarving to be a nice relaxing activity i these cold winter months. And to get away from the cold, I moved my chopping block into my livingroom. So now I can watch TV and carve spoons at the same time :-)

Other than that I just finished my apprenticeship as a gardener last year, and now I am taking an education in envorimental management. It's interesting stuff and I get to learn a lot of exiteing things about different kinds of natural habitats.
I have been especially interested in tree biology. Wich I think goes very well with all kinds of wood crafts.

Here are some pictures of some of the spoons I have made:

Hi Mikkel, welcome to the forum. It's nice to have you join us. Those are some very nice spoons. I have to agree with you on how relaxing carving spoons can be. I carve in my living room, too.

Welcome Mikkel.

I really like your spoon carvings. I am not an expert by any means, but I like the chip carved look to your spoon and that neat little knife.

You seem to have developed your own style for your spoons.

Great job

Thank you all for the kind words.

With regards to the chip carving I would say that i try my best to adapt my designs to match my skills. I have only done chip-carving for about two weeks so I am very much a novice.
I have tried to make straight and curved lines, but i am not very good at it yet... so I just carve triangles. That I can handle
I just make patterns with this feature, and practice lines on the side.
