I recently took up branch carving and whittling a few months ago. I'm really into it so far, and I've seen some amazing work on this forum. I made a web gallery of some of the stuff I've did so far, the link is:

Hey Terry, welcome and it looks like your well on your carving way. We love seeing the work of others and how they go about carving. As I'm a new carver I'm always interest in learning about technique.

I have carved many a branch chicken. Especially when I only had a knife and no real place to work out of.

I really like the Nut hatch.

Thanks, alot of people I've showed that one to thought it was a seagull. If anyone is wondering how I did the beak on the nuthatch, it's a toothpick.

I had fun seeing your creations! I love the pheasant and the two headed rooster and the woodpecker..and the.. well you did an awsome job on them all.
