Hi everybody,

My name is Butch and im originally from Ohio and moved to NC
about nine monthes ago.I am retired and finally got a chance to move down here and be with my son and my grandkids I have always like wood. the look of the diffrent kinds and what carvers can do with it.I recently joined a Wood
Carving club here in my town.I have just done a couple peices and I know im hooked for life.I drove truck(hauled cars) for 30 years and never really had
to do a hobby and do it the right way and spend time enjoying it.So here I
am.......

Welcome aboard Butch, lot of great info on here and a lot of great people to share that info. You got a question, just ask away, you'll get all the help you need. As for being retire, half the guys on here are retired so you're not alone there my friend. carving.

Hi Butch,Welcome,I have also recently joined .You will enjoy this site as they are a mighty helpful and friendly bunch .I feel part of the family already.
As for carving keep on nibbling .There are spirits hiding in pieces wood ,you have just got to find them.
