| | New Member Howdy I'm Whittling .This is my first post so I'll tell a little about myself . I live on a goat farm in Holland Mass . I Sell my whittlings at farmers market in the summer . I have 1 friend at market that is the only one I know that carves .I learned how to carve spoons and forks at age 12 . At 13 I got a book and learned how to whittle chickens from wood .I prefer to use a Buck stockman knife as my carving tool . I cut branches from trees as wood to work with . I have made roosters ,songbirds , animal heads , and a few animals like bears , abobcat , pigs ...... Well I'll post pictures once I learn how |

| | Re: New Member Those of us who are your fellow whittlers would like to see photos of your work. Here are some pointers on how to upload your photos:
From the starting page, click on Carver Galleries at the left. Then, in the green header line, click on Upload Photos. You will get a dialog page that allows you to upload several. Click on Browse to search thru your computer files for the photos you want to use. Please note that the images need to be of a certain size, depending on the file type. If yours are too big, minimize the window of this site and open your photo processing software to resize the photos. After you have resized them and saved them, reopen this window and proceed the selecting and uploading the files. You can type in a description before or after the uploads.
