New Member, glad to be in forum. Just started carving learning a from cousin. Working on simple Xmas tree ornaments. Very relaxing. Bill

Welcome Bill, I too spent a wee bit O time in Corps. Glad you're here, and glad you started carving. Shoot, I'm glad you're retired too. The folks on this board/forum are super! Most helpful, and encouraging. Just ask questions and see for yourself. Just where is Drakesville? Tom H

Drakesville is a small town between Ottumwa Ia, and Kisksville Mo. just off Hwy 63. I am heading your way on Tuesday next to visit my sister in Cincinnati. Spending Thanksgiving there at my nephews. Haven't carved any worthwhile projects yet, I am sure pictures on a thread will be at a must later date. Ha! Anyway thanks for the reply. Bill

Gergie: Nice to hear from you. Really new at this, I am afraid picture will be at a much later date. Keeping the knife stropped seems to be one of the IMPORTANT tHINGS. bILL
