Hi, my name is Gary and I live in Peterborough Ontario Canada.

I have been interested in carving for years but have just taken the plunge now that I am retired.

I have just joined a local carving club and I find that most carvers are very friendly and willing to provide assistance whenever asked.

Hello Gary and Welcome! I hope you like it here as much as I do. I’m sure you’ll find friendly people and useful info, about wood carving.
Also check out the section of Wood Carving for Beginners, It helps me a lot when I find myself stuck or when Im having some trouble with a project.

Hi Gary, congratulations on your retirement. Carving clubs are a wonderful place to meet new people and learn. Our club the Prescott Wood Bee Carver's are a great group and very active in the community also.
What type of carving are you interested in learning?
Kathy
