Hi folks:
I'm new to this forum, and I feel that I am in the right path of enriching my knowledge in wood carving. I started carving about four years ago. I use to make wooden hunting bows (longbows), I was inspired to start carving after veiwing carvings of great looking eagle heads a fellow bowmaker carved on his bow handles. I decided to learn to carve just like I learned making bows. Since I liveded a remote area in Oregon wood carvering classes were not availble locally, so I had to learn on my own through all of wood carving books published by Chapel Publishers.
So far I have become a fairly good carver after several dollars spent on the wrong carving tools and several cut fingers. So bare with , since my wife and I retired about a year ago we moved to Chula Vista, CA. Now I can dedcate as much time as I want only to carving (after my honey dues). Soon as soon as my son shows my how to post photos, I will show you some of my carving.
