Default new meat, looking for duplicator

I look forward to visiting with folks who enjoy carving. I have recently retired but have almost always had an interest in carving. I would like to try and make a few bucks at it if that is possible. I thought a duplicator to reproduce various custom orders may be fun and also for personal use to speed up the carving process. I have been considering the K Star from Terrco but it is a little high and I doubt I would recoup the cost for a long time to come, so I would very much like to find a good used one for sale. I don’t know if there is a better one or one that would suite my need as well. Looking to yall to help me decide. I do want to be versatile so am not much interested in a small unit or one that is a bit on the flimsy side. I also would like to find one that can dup something bigger than the 10-inch dia the K Star does.
Can yall shed any light on this? By the way I am in North West Arkansas near Eureka Springs.

Default Re: new meat, looking for duplicator

If you go to the Power carving thread and look on page two there is a post from a guy last year who was trying to sell a used duplicarver. dtoggs was his name. I don't know if he still has it or not. Also, on the same page is a post from a memeber low_bridge who bought a duplicarver and if you pm him with some questions now that he has had his a few months, he might be able to tell you something about it. Good luck. One more thing, keep an eye out on Craig's list on the internet. It is nationwide and you just sign in for your general area. Then you will see all the new listings. My husband buys and sells used tools and is checking Craig's list almost hourly. You never know what you will find. Good luck.
