Hello to all,
Just wanted to say “thank you” for the warm welcome, encouragement, and general information. Since I first logged on to this website, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the many posts and exploring the incredible possibilities of woodcarving. Over the past few days, I have spent numerous hours surfing the web, getting ideas and learning about the tools of the trade. I ended up buying (for now) some inexpensive tools to get me started. Although “Mr. Dremel” is a dear friend, he is going to have to move over and share the toolbox with several new buddies. I have come to the conclusion that carving wood will be quite similar to baking cookies, even when they crumble, they’re still sweet! After I receive my mail orders…….I will be bouncing about the different forums, asking question after question until I finally make something I can be proud of. Until then, I’ll just be chipping away. Hope all of you have a wonderful day!
