I know they grow up North. |

| | Re: New here from Québec Canada Cannuck carver, there should be diamond willow in your area. Look for wet places long the road. Most locals know the bush as Pussy Willow. Look for the sticks with the blemishes in the bark. When you peel them the diamonds will be where the blemishes are. The bark makes it easy to identify the willow bush. Once you get onto that , they will jump right out at you. Grin. The diamond willow isn't plentiful here like in the north, but it can be found if you look.

| | Re: New here from Québec Canada Funny we are talking about that, this morning I was in QC city and right in the middle on nowhere I am sure it was Diamond willow....In a public park....mind you it is a park out of the way....the wife did not let me stop...I will be that way next week...lol...but if they grow in wet area...that makes it easier...I go fiddle head hunting every spring in an erea that's wet....I will go this weekend.
Thanks for the tip...
