| | New Guy in Town Hello,
I confess, I'm a dabbler! I'm working on a pair of quail (that my wife will paint for one of her girl-friends), a bear that's about half done, a hair-ball Santa (egghead?), and a snowman. Well, I'm either a little behind on last Christmas or a bit ahead for the next. :-) I'm a stickbow archer and am making new equipment for my wife and I this summer. When those wood chips settle, I want to do a folk art nativity (ala Shawn Cipa). I wonder where I'll get the time to mow the lawn?
I started carving when I was about 10 years old....took a piece of 2x2 pine and carved a big ol' knife so I could fight the bears like Davy Crockett. That was 45 plus years ago, and I'm still making chips. I'm the woodcarving merit badge councillor for the local Boy Scout unit.
Glad to be here....nice to know where I can go for the details that have escaped me over the years.
