Default New Guy from Hamilton Ontario

I'm just starting out, my dad Tucker1931 (Cliff) gave me tools for Xmas and I'm in the middle of my first wood spirit. I sure enjoy all the great carvings you fellas are showing and hope to be able to post my first one in a few days (after my hand heals a bit) (smile) I cut 'er pretty good already.

Welcome Len,

Woodspirits are my main staple - they are good place to get started. Hope you find the forum helpful.

Hi Len, welcome and looking forward to seeing your first carving. Carving wood is a wonderful hobby, but it does come with hazards.

Len, Welcome, take care of your hand, seems like I remember Cliff starting out the same way as you, but with him, a thumb (LOL). Bill

Hi there SON of mine, glad you figured out how to get on. Sorry about that cut, it's a beauty (but not as bad as my first). Welcome aboard, like I told ya, "great bunch of guys and gals on here and all willing to help ya".
Dad (Cliff)

Welcome aboard son of Tucker1931, nice to see a family affair here. A family that carves together ......... would have a house so full of chips, they'd never see their floor! LOL

Looking forward to seeing your work and enjoying your involvment.

Bob

Welcome to the site Len , to see that Dad talked you into giving carving a try and got you started with some tools. Looking forward to see your work. You got a special Pop there but I think you know that already.
