Welcome, more into pyrography, but looking into carving, just need to add to the hobby list. Also, love the waterfowl, both burning and hunting.

Thumbs up Re: New Forum Member

Woodie13,
Thanks for the welcome to the forum. More importantly, thank you for your service to our country. I have a nephew who served in the USMC in Kuwait, Iraq, and Okinawa, and a niece (his sister) who served in the USAF as a nurse in Bagdad, Iraq. My niece is now back in the USA, and my nephew just left for Australia for training ops.

There has been much deep sacrifice on the part of our military and their families, and it is important that you know how much this is appreciated!

As for your love of waterfowl, I understand completely. I grew up hunting and waterfowling has always been my favorite hunting experience. I am a Sergent in the State Environmental Police, and chose this career path as a way of contributing back to the natural resources that have brought so much pleasure to my life. The "total waterfowling experience" is a way of life for me. My wife hunts as does one of my daughters (just starting). The multitude of waterfowling equipment, boats, decoys, gun dogs, etc., some friends view this as a form of lunacy. Hey, call me crazy but I would not have it any other way

Stay in touch and stay safe.

Welcome aboard, Ducksdown!

It's always great to have experienced carvers around... it certainly helps us 'newbies'.
