Question New to the forum and to carving.

My name is Jerry and I live outside of Canton, TX - 50 miles east of Dallas. I have been making pens for several years and recently started making lamps from Texas cedar. I would like to learn how to carve things into my lamps like horse heads, eagles, Cowboys, Indians, etc. I prefer to use rotary tools as much as possible. Can anyone tell me a good resource for getting started? Thanks

Jerry,

Hello and welcome. Good to have you with us. You tube is a good way to pick up on things. Check out the videos, tutorials, and patterns here on the left side of the screen.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark
