| | New to For Forum Hello to Everyone
I am Bob Crisp new to the forum. I have been carving for approximately 8 years and have found it can be addicting.
I hope to soon be able to spend more time carving you know how work gets in the way.
I am fortunate to live close to John C Campbell Folk School and have taken classes there, this is a great place if you are looking for a place to take classes.
I took a class last year at Smokey Mountain Woodcarvers from Jeff Phares I enjoyed it so much that I am taking another one this year.
I also enjoy trout fishing, hiking in the Nantahala Mountains and riding my old Jeep.

You're not too far from me - lots of carving in the area.
I've never been to the John C Campbell school due to other activities - maybe someday soon. It's a shame since it is so close. |

How lucky you are to live near the John Campbell Folk School. I love that place..... My parents live nearby in Brasstown and I was just there last weekend. I go to the school just to wander around and see what everyone is working on. Great place.
This is a great place too, if only in cyber space. Great bunch of people here but then I think carvers for the most part, are a great bunch. Welcome.
