Talking New Craver in AZ

Hello fellow carvers,
My name is Marvin Voorhees, I live in Phoenix AZ and learning new crafts for when I decide to retire from my fiull time job. I work for the Defense Contract Management Agency as a Quality Assurance Specialist.
My plan is to retire in another 15 years so I thought I'd learn what I can before then.

Hello Marvin, and Welcome
I also live in Arizona (Prescott Valley) by the time you retire in 15 years you should be an expert carver. You'll find lots of inspiration and help by following and posting to WCI.

What type of carving are you thinking about or ready to learn?

Another way is to attend the up coming Mesa Woodcarving Show, February 18th and 19th at the Mesa Centennial Hall 201 N. Center St. in Mesa.
Saturday hours: 9-5pm and Sunday 10-4pm
It's the biggest carving show in Arizona there are demos, vendors and lots of beautiful woodcarvings.

I will be entering some of my work....wish we luck!
