Welcome Alan. In no time at all you'll be posting pics of your carvings and having everyone saying, "I wish I could do something like that." Happy carving.

Hello Alan, and welcome! If you recollect the time when you first started to learn to write ABC's, or learned how to ride the bicycle for the first time, or drive... Carving, or any genre of art is like that! We train a part of ourselves we thought we never had. After a few carvings you will get the hang of it. In carving i know how to ride bike now, but i am still learning how to ride without my hands, or do pop-a-wheelies. It's a learning process, from beginning to end... From the time you first take a knife to wood, to the time God calls... Everyday is a learning process... It's what you call for the lack of a better word... A JOURNEY! It always begins with the first foot step... Remember the story 'Foot prints in the sand' It is the same journey! We all go through it. Now, in saying that... What are you waiting for man!!!??? Get going so we can see some of your masterpieces! You'll be fine! I personally would like to welcome you to the WCI family!
All the best Alan, your new friend, Rob V. (Lazy C.)
