Welcome Brian. Come on in and sit a spell, and share your efforts too. Some the greatest fun is getting feedback on your efforts from more experienced carvers.

Welcome Brian,
The forum is a great place to pick up tips for carving. Some very fine tools are made in your Country, Henry Taylor and Ashley Isles. What part of the UK do you live in? As a child I lived in Suffolk, near Bury St. Edmunds in a place that the US government leased for a base. Shepherds Grove. It was a very long time ago but I remember those 3 years as some of the happiest ever.....

Is wood carving very big in the UK? Are there carving groups, clubs, etc...?
I would love to hear about it.
