Smile New Carver - just finished my first carving

Hi,
I fell in love with wood as I watched my husband make some boxes for family presents. I decided I could carve the boxes or something and ended up carving a bear on a log. My Aunt and Uncle moved home to Australia and couldn't bring there life size chainsaw cut baby bear. so I thought - I'll carve my aunt one - that was my real introduction to carving. But 4 months later I've joined a wood club and finished my aunt's bear.

No - I carved the hair. It gets the layered look with 3 different size chisels layered. Lots of "s" work. Very relaxing.
