Welcome Ken19. I'm always pleased to meet another walking stick carver. I harvest my own aspen. If you are in the area of eastern PA I can suggest any number of places to find aspen. If you are looking to buy it then Kathy has already mentioned the only place I know of.

Hello and welcome, Ken. It's always nice, as David said, to have new stick carvers.

I tried to carve an Aspen stick for a customer, but I noticed it show scratches and small indentations very easily. Since he will be using it to hike, it's too fragile and I'll have to find something else.

I don't know where in the world you are, but Colorado's got all the Aspen you'd want or need.
