| | New boy on the block Good morning to all , my name is Derek for East Anglia England (Norfolk) Very new to Wood/chip carving as yet not done any ![006[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/006[1].gif) but I have done a lot of Fret/scrollsaw and I was looking for a pastime to do may be in the house as my scrollsaw is in a unheated workshop (Garage) and is 65lb not something you can do on your lap. I have a set of tools coming over from the USA plus a copy of "Woodcarving" mag so cant wait for it all to come

| | Re: New boy on the block Welcome Derek from the bayous of Louisiana. The lady that lets me live with her has gotton over having woodchips on the den floor (as long as I clean them up promptly). Having spent a few winter evenings in Salisbury and York, I understand your plight.
