Default New Bama carver

Hi! My name is Ed and I am very new to carving. I have done several carvings from found wood, several from basswood, cedar, tupelo, red oak(thank God for bandaids and stitches) and cherry. I am trying to think of some ideas to use purpleheart wood? I have given my carvings as gifts...I just enjoy carving. Any advice on learning more about carving is welcome as I have never taken a class of any sort. Thanks for having me in your forum!

Sweet home Alabama!!! Your in the right spot Eddie! I'm in the same spot as you. I don't have school experience per say, but i do have world experience. You'll find plenty of help here! Checkout the galleries, as there is plenty of motivation there as well! Welcome to the WCI family Eddie!........
