I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your father. My father was also a carver. I always admired his work but never thought carving would be something I would enjoy. After his passing my mother asked me if I wanted some of his tools and wood. With some prodding from my wife I said yes. It was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I have cut my fingers (get a glove), but love the feeling I get when I work a piece using the tools my father used. I only wished we had carved together.
