Default My "maiden voyage" post

Hi all, I've been lurking around here for a couple of months and figured I should introduce myself before I get arrested for loitering.

I found this forum while searching for something, and it's been my daily "fix" ever since.

It seems that all (many) forum/message boards of various interest usually end up with people (many) bickering, name calling, "flaming", one upping and generally acting like idiot children....
none of that here, just good people helping and encouraging others, it's the finest forum I've ever visited. thank you all.

short bio: I'm a 62 year old recent retiree, total wood rookie who's been wacking away at some old tree parts since about June...not a carver, crafter or artist yet but I find the effort relaxing... almost spiritual.

Thanks for being here.
