| | my first carving this is my first attempt with no insructon and using and electric chainsaw so i am open to comments ,but keepin mind my very first LoL

| | Re: my first carving well ty very much for your nice comments, i used a spruce log that o got at a friends place from some previous logging that went on there is still about 10 logs leftthat i can get,also he has a pine log about 3 feet in dia and 12 feet long , is this wood decent for carving!
and again ty for the comments as i was unsure about my first

That is very nice work for a first carving. If you were going for realism the legs are a bit thick and the body is too short. Studying a lot of pics at google images can help you with proportions.
