My wife and I are going to be in San Antonio for the winter. We both are bird carvers and having difficulty locating a shop there which could supply tupelo and other carving supplies. Can anyone recomend a store in the area - or - does anyone know if there are complications taking tupelo across the US/Canada border? thanks

There is a Woodcraft store in San Antonio that carries woods for crafts. You might have good luck ordering by mail from some of the sources that advertise on WCI, too.

Try Wood Carving Tools - Texas - The Old Texas Woodcarvers Shop, Tools, Roughouts, Books, Classes</span> Maybe they can help you out. Cheers OG |

Hi Jim Are you here yet? I'm a full time R.V.er staying in Schertz Tx. about 5 miles north of S.A. We have a lot of Winter Texans stay here, though it's still early. The basic answer to your questions are No, yes and yes though the last is a legal tehnicality. |
