Default making evergreen s

I have carved a Pine Gros Beak and I want to set it in fir branches with snow. I cannot figure out how to make the fir banches. I've tried copper, and paper. I coated a wire in hot glue then heated small copper strips and inserted them onto the other but eventually they just fall off. I am at the stage of just buying some fake xmas style branches but i would prefer to make them

any suggests would be helpfull
my email is jailed@nbnet,nb,ca

Thankyou

Ian Duncan

Wildfowl Carving Magazine, Fall 2005 has an article on "Creating a White Pine Branch. Great info that you could adapt to your needs. If you can't get a hold of that article, I will scan it for you and send it to you in PDF format. Just email me at: roberttw@rogers.com to let me know.
Cheers.
