| | make your own patterns Hello, I like to draw my own patterns.I think it's fun and easy.I'm wondering how many of you make your own.I like making trolls and vikings.

My Mongol and Flower Maiden are my own design but since I carve sticks most of the time, I don't use patterns. Hmmmm, maybe that's what's wrong with my carvings. |

| | Re: make your own patterns i use my camera when taking patterns from books, most times using a sheet of glass to flatten, then shoot in b&w, load in computer and print out size needed,
or just draw it on the wood block and carve off the waste...
of course your mileage may vary... |

| | Re: make your own patterns With my artistic ability I am better off just looking at a picture and carving out the bock. If I had to draw a horse it would look more like a cow.
