| | lOUISE Hi, I am new to this type of communication, so I will say just a few things right now. I started carving in 2005. I have had no formal training just the love of witling which turned to carving, I have carved caricatures of humans( a cowboy, professor, fisherman) and animals ( horses, dogs, bear), tried carving real animals( dog and horse). I have done one relief of a horse head. I have done two grizzly bears, two walking bears, which were roughouts. I have carved two wall dragons. I am hoping to get help with carving techniques for faces. I have bought over 30 different books, and a lot of knives. I have found I prefer knife carving to power carving at this point in my carving life, having tried both. Louise (Minnie) |
