Hello All,
I have been viewing these forums for a while now and finally got up the nerve to register and post. Seems like a great bunch of people! I look forward to talking to everyone and hopefully learning a thing or two.

Thanks for warm welcome everyone!

To answer wDonkey's question... I have been mainly carving spoons at the moment, but I have tried my hand at relief carving a time or two. I just recently got back into carving so I have been carving spoons to get used to how the grain runs and how it will affect the way I carve. I tried carving about a year ago and, being very undereducated on the subject, had a bad experience. I have been taking it slow so I don't get discouraged again. So far I am loving it!
