Guess I have been asleep as I just found this thread and Thanks to BoBD a great one.

I am Kenneth Sanders, Hence the moniker of kenny or Ken. Only my mother called me Kenneth amongst other names. Was borned and rasied a Jayhawker(Kansas), lived all over and moved around in the service. Married to "the liitle Bride" for 37 years and have two grown children a daughter and son who have produced three of the finest Grandchildren.

Self taught carver of 17 years off and on, mostly off till early retirement in 2003 from a major oil company. I am 57 years young and love wood carving, hunting and traveling. Started my "little bride" in carving and teaching how to handle and sharpening knives to my 8 year old granddaughter.

I got interested in wood carving while a Cub Master for our local Scout pack and went on up in to Boy Scout. Was in Scouts for almost 12 years before I had to leave it due to serious illnesses of my father and mother.

Hey Kenny,
Did that wretched COLD Northeast wind blow all of Vernon County MO over your way yesterday? That sunshine looks much better today.

How's the "teach the wife to carve" project going? Several of our guys have taught their spouses to carve and seems like they like relief or chip carving as a good place to start.

Glad you're here and glad you're a neighbor!

Donna, It was a cold one for sure but I don't know which way that wind was blowing.

The "little bride" is a fair wealther carver and she enjoys carving outside so she hasn't carve anything more that the two cottonwood bark carvings. She is a dediicated scrapbooker durning the winter months and helps others out in that area.

Best to you.
