Maybe a dumb question, but what is the "avatar" thing you mention and I see elsewhere?

| | Re: K Karver new member greetings to all Thanks again bart. But why do we call them that? I have discovered how to get one - I did read the FAQ finally. I also discovered that I can find out about folks by hitting the avatar. So, avatars show me a little about the person they are attached to. They are a speed button to member profiles. Any other options for avatars I am missing?

| | Re: K Karver new member greetings to all First thing welcome to the group John. The avatar is just a place to show off a picture you want displayed. Maybe a picture of a pet or a new carving or yourself. Mine right now I think is of my guide dog and my boston terrier and myself. i think we all chjange them quite often.

| | Re: K Karver new member greetings to all Ron, I just looked through your web site link. Wow. Great work. I like the brick church piece you did. Your cuts are clean and the images are clear. I enjoyed looking at them.

It has been loads of fun already. Eager to get my first thumbnails on the forum. Working on that right now. Got to find where the resize numbers where given to me. Maybe on this thread. Again thanks,
