You are off to a great start! You will be amazed at your progress in the near future, especially with a good teacher. You have got a good many years head start on most of the carvers here on this board. Just imagine how good you will be when you get to be our age. You could make all of us envious!
The main thing is to have fun carving and always be safe!

| | Re: John Hatton "10" yrs old Cant believe I am just getting around to answering this tread. Great job Bill taking John under your wing. Woodcarving is a dying art with the young it is nice to see someone so young starting out wish I could stay around long enough to see what he will be like in 30 years. My grandson is 11 he started when he was 10 and does a great job. My only problem is he also likes Snowboarding, Snowblading, Hockey, Rollerblading, Skateboarding, 4 Wheelin, and of course GIRLS. So he doesnt get too much carving done. John it is great having you with us and seeing your carvings what a fantastic job you do for someone so young look forward to seeing more of your work and remember "Pay attention to the teacher" He is a good one.
