Hi Iam Bob, new to this forum , I also belong to woodworking talk.com forum. I love working with wood as you might tell. It's been in last yr I have started carving, self teaching and reading alot of books and magazines trying to learn the art of carving. Didnt realize there was so many different varietys of carving. Been a toolmaker for 28 yrs, was let go with alot guys who reached that 50-62 age when company decided to down size. Oh well got make best of it only have5-8 yrs to work before retirement(hopefull). So decide I need to expain my horizons to have more to do when I do retire. My other hobbys are bowling 2x week, fishing,hunting, and spending time with mans best friend(yup my English Springer Spanielof 4 yrs and my Shitzu of 2 yrs they keep me laughing and going they constantly play picking on each other. Been married 34 yrs to my wife, all my children are married and out of house. Hope to inter act as much as I can on here and get alot of help, so If I ask tomany questions bare with me or tell me to shut up lol. I currently work for Home Depot been here 5 yrs. work loss prevention and bookeeping, once in while on the floor in Hardware.

Welcome aboard Bob and to the WCI Forum! As you have probably noticed, lots of great carvers here...all willing to help when necessary...Wonderful group for 'Newbies' like us - actually, I think they love to see another individual become 'addicted' to wood carving like they are! Ha!!! Good to have you with us and be sure and post some photos of your artwork when you have time and share them with us too! Bet it's almost flyfishing time up there too... Enjoy!

Yes as matter fact its getting close needs to warm up more and stay warm at night around 50 and daytime 65. Thanks for the welcome looking forward to learning more from all the members here.
