| | Introduction Hi from Nelson New Zealand. I carve mainly in the European tradition, but have also done some in the Maori style. Am here to learn, there is always more. Hope to join in the forum when I have something to contribute. John. |

| | Re: Introduction Welcome to the group John. You'll find lots of info here. Spent a short time in Wellington working at the Embassy there back in '93. Sure miss the liquid lunches down at the local pub and the lamb from the meat market. |

| | Re: Introduction Greetings and Salutations John.... My step Mom just returned from two weeks in your Paradise. She's says it's really beautiful although being a vegetarian I'd have a bit of a problem with the mutton!

You ask for green lipped mussels, or oysters, or scollops, or crayfish, or gurnard, or snapper and wash it down with a chardonnay or pinot noir. The sheep can bleat for someone else.. The cheese plate can be entising too.. John. |

| | Re: Introduction Cypress knees are very unique. They are a soft wood and they grow in a cone shape out of the ground. They only grow in wet swampy areas usually in the south although I have seen them as far north as Missouri. I will try to attach a sample picture below:
