Default I'm new and like to carve sticks

Hello, I'm Jerry and I love to make walking sticks. Need all the advice I can get. I really enjoy reading the comments from you other stick carves.Thanks Jerry.

Jerry, this might help. I carved this stick from the book Wood Spirits and Green Men by Lora Irish. I don't know what kind of wood it is.

Feb, thanks for the picture of the stick.The spirit face is excellent! I have done a few but thay dont look like yours.I'll keep at it.When I can figure out how to send pictures, I'll send a picture of one of mine.
