Default Howdy from Vancouver BC

JUst wanted to say Hi. My name is Greg. I am from the Vancouver BC Canada area. 2 xmas' ago my wife bought me a set of gouges and I started playing with them. This year I have gained a lot more interest and bought a couple chip knives. Had to figure out the hard way to sharpen it first. lol

I am also looking for others who might be in this area. Looking forward to learnig from you all.

Greg

Welcome aboard Greg! Great to see the West Coast so well represented. Some super carvers out that way. What kind of carving are you into? Hope we get to see some pictures.

Bob

Default Pics/Interests? was:Howdy from Vancouver BC

well so far I have a piece of firewood witht a hole in it and a picture frame with several "is this knife sharp?" marks. lol

it will be a while before I manage to get anything besides sawdust and kindling to photograph. I mean that litter-ally. (pun intended)

I am interested in chip carving and Celtic, nordic, Greek, E. Indian and Mayan designs.

Greg

Hi Greg welcome aboard nice to have you along. What part of Vancouver are you from I lived out that way for three years on beautiful Vancouver Island and return every year for the Shoreline Arts competition in Campbell River in June. Nice to see you here and look forward to seeing your work.
