Hi Parker, I'm surprised you know that there is a dry side. Most people that live in this state don't realize that 2/3ds of it is dry. Yep, I live in Central Oregon in one of the driest places in the U.S. Keep on having fun. Mike

Hiya Mike.

Yep, WA is the same way, 1/3 wet, 2/3 dry. My girlfriend grew up in Leavenworth, which is in central WA. Hot & dry in the summer, cold & dry in the winter. I've sometimes wondered why they split the Oregon territory horizontally instead of vertically. It seems more logical to have a coastal state and an inland state - each with its own economic interests and climate zone. Oh well, they didn't ask me back in 1889, but I sure could've told 'em!
