Default Hi From Prudhoe Bay,Alaska

I just registered after lurking for about a month.I've only been trying to carve for two months but I'm already seeing an evolution and growth in what I've done.
This summer,I collected a bunch of driftwood from the Arctic Ocean.Where it came from is anybody's guess as there are no trees here on the North Slope.Russia,China,Japan,Canada....who knows ????But once dry, it's fun to find the spirits in the wood..That has been my main concentration so far though I do plan to expand my work in time.
I also have a residence in southwest Washington where I can find a lot of driftwood in Willapa Bay.So,because I work 2 weeks on--2 weeks off, I have plenty of time to create my little guys.I have a lot of room for improvement and hope to find some good ideas and helpful hints on this forum.
When I have a few more carvings done I'' try to post some pics.
.

Welcome to the group Mark
The main thing is to enjoy what you are doing, The more you carve the better you will become. Ask any questions you might have there always somebody who will know the answer.
