Default Hi, this is Lou in York, PA

I am a bird carver. Have been since the 70's. I was looking for something else when I happened on your site. It sounds like something I would like to belong to. If I don't do all of this right the first time...I'll learn.

Welcome to the WCI Forum Brdkrvr70! Lot's of great carvers here on the forum who specialize in carving birds, so it sounds like you'll be in good company! It's a great forum populated by some very talented carvers (myself not included...)...so take a look around at the different departments and enjoy. When you have a few moments, why don't you post a few photos of your creations and share them with us? Again, welcome aboard and safe carving to you.
Kenn

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I had put some input to a old posting about bird measurements. I did a bit of searching and thought I would raise the question again if anyone is still looking for a way to get the proper size, since you can't tell from a photograph.

I'll take some photos of my carvings and post them Ron.

Hi, It's me again. I took some pictures of some of my carvings. Two things to mention. One is a Monarch butterfly and not a bird. Also, the female tanager is only three inches long. I had a ball making those feet. Let me know what you think. Lou

I'm having a problem inserting images. You're asking for a URL. These images are in a folder on my computer and have no URL. HELP!

Ok, I figured out how to upload my four pictures to the gallery. I wanted to put them here, but at least I got them to the site. Let me know what you think of them. Thanks, Lou
