Smile Hi! I'm new to the forum...

Hi everyone: I have spent hours exploring and figuring out how to get to this point. Whew! Thank goodness for the 'New Member Guideline Thread'. My name is Leslie and I am a visual artist enjoying drawing, painting, mosaics, etc. My artistic gift is a real bonus with my carving enabling me to create my own designs and work without patterns if I choose. I was first introduced to carving two years ago and I've been 'hooked' ever since. I look forward to being a part of this wonderful website, learning so much more about it, and getting to know and share with the members.
Thanks WCI!

Leslie

Wow....thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'ts good to be hooked on carving. Bob, I'm in Peterborough, On. Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can bookmark my email page for easy access to the WCI webpage? I'm a wee bit of a computer moron and can use all the help I can get.

Welcome to the forum. You are joining a whole bunch of addicts. Are you using Windows and Internet Explorer?
Let us know and we can fix you up. There is a good bit of computer expertise rambling around here also.

Leslie:
Go up near the top of the page to the green line and click on User CP. When the new page comes up, over on the left under Control Panels, click on Edit Signature. In the new window, type the following (or whatever else you'd like) into the window:

My [ url =http://homepage.mac.com/beadman/carving/Menu33.html]web site [ /url ] but leave out the spaces before and after "url" and "/url". Everything inside the square brackets [] should have no spaces... Obviously replace the
"http ://homepage.mac.com/beadman/carving/Menu33. html" with the URL for your own site. The first word "My" and the last two words "web site" can be replaced with anything you'd like. Notice how my signature appears below.

If you need more help, please ask.

Claude

ps: welcome to the forum!

Hi Claude: Thanks for your info. however I'm still confused. Do I type in exactly what you have typed within the brackets (I'm using Windows Internet Explorer). I don't know what an 'url' is. And once I manage to accomplish this great feat where will it show up - on my desktop? Thanks for you patience and your help.

Leslie
