Thumbs up Hi Guys

Hi guys, I'm glad to have found your site.

By way of introduction, I've mostly made furniture over the years for family, as well as my wife and I.
I love the grain swirls of cherry, but have worked with a few different woods.

I have also been doing a little whittling trying something new, and thinking that I would like to try carving.

I was asked tonight from one of my two sons to help him with a special project. Please see my post in the Carving Wood and Materials forum, I will be grateful for any thoughts or suggestions.

- Rumi

Hi Rumi,

Just find something you'd like to try or one of the online tutorials and go for it. Just watch the fingers.

Remember to keep the pointed end pointed away from yourself!

So Ruminator, what is it you like to chew on?

Hisart, a couple favorites for study are the developments in quantum physics as related to creation/ evolution . Also the ways that the laws of chance/ probability reflect reality related to this topic.

Ancient history, the origin of the pyramids, the true nature of reality(I don't like being wrong.) You know, light reading.

By your screenname, I see that you might be interested in some similar topics as I.
