I'm from small town of LaSalle ,Ontario, Canada-I have been carving reliefs mostly. I belong to a small class with two wonderful instructors and teachers. Phil and Gen Bomadier. It's more of a hobby, but a major passion of mine when not at work and can find the time.I look forward to chatting and learning more. Besides woodcarving, I aso do some woodburning and just purchased power carver to lear how to carve antlers.Looking for books on this subject, if anyone can help me-thanks and nice meeting you all-bushman

I am also a new member as of today and I guess it will take me a while to get used to this messageing.
I am from a small hamlet north east of Toronto Can.
I haven't carved in over 40 years and at that time it was soapstone.
I just found a seniors group that does wood carving and I joined about 2 years ago and am loving it. I do not have that uncany ability to visualize and carve on my own so the classes are great
