Ok, first of all I hope the images I attached end up attached I am a little bit of a newb at forums etc.
This is a carving I did from a sketch I made of the picture on the cover of a novel I was reading back then. It is in Basswood of 2"x9"x15". I gave it to my father in law for Christmas that year and he hung it in a corner of his summer cottage where nobody ever gets a good look at it. He gets a shirt every year now

. That also explains the dust etc that may show up in the images. This guy actually was accepted into a local university art gallery opening (for local artists craftspeople) after they recieved a big donation of some sort. He is probably my best piece, I do much simpler things now due to lack of time.
I would love to hear some comments & critcism etc. My biggest one now that I look at him is I should have used a bigger piece of wood and continued the wing up the right side.
