Default Hi All- Aspiring Woodburner

Hi All,
My husband bought me a really nice professional woodburner a few years back and I want to learn to use it for some ideas I have. That is why I joined this forum. I also love to woodwork. I am not great at it, but good enough to get by. We are in the middle of the kitchen remodel so I've been overwhelmed lately putting down a floor.

My mother has early alzheimers and so I have alot of her belongings at my home. I notice she has a very nice looking wood carving set. I want to learn to use it as well when I get some free time. For now, though I'm going to try to find correct area to post my question regarding woodburning.

Glad to meet everyone. Thanks,
Kelechim

Welcome to the forum. Woodburning is covered in the pyography section in the lower part of the forum main page..there are a lot of talanted folks on there that can help. I always reccomend folks read old posts to get a "burts" of info, and am a strong believer in buying a few books to study when trying to learn something new. Hope you enjoy your hobby.

I sympathise with you about your Mom, Mine too has moderate alzheimers...it is a tough road to go down, my prayers are with you.

Thanks everyone! I was finally able to figure out how to log back in. I mispelled my Username when creating account. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to firing up the old Detail Master again and trying my hand at carving some simple shapes.
