It looks like your initial interest is in whittling. I'd suggest you go to Carver Galleries and scroll down to Whittling. Click on that and look thru some of the work of others. I'd especially recommend the work of SpiritSock.

Thanks for the direction...really good work. I want to branch out into other areas, but guess I'm a little apprehensive...What the heck...it's only wood.
